Valentine's Day Adventures - Disney Quest & Blanket Forts

Hello readers! Hope you all had a very Happy Valentine's Day. I had some pretty fun adventures of my own that, of course, I wanted to share with you.

We went to Disney Quest!!

First things first: breakfast. I always feel the need to pass on delicious recipes to you. So here's another one. For Valentine's Day breakfast I whipped up a clean french toast casserole. Thanks to The Gracious Pantry for the recipe, which you can find here! I used cinnamon raisin Ezekiel Bread to make it extra clean. Ezekiel Bread is pretty much the only type of bread I use anymore. So much better for you than that other processed nastiness! In place of the blueberries I used raspberries, because they're a red berry and I wanted to make this look more festive for the day. Definitely recommend you try this recipe!

I also decided this year that, instead of buying candy for Nathan, I would make it. The chocolate/peanut butter combo is his favorite. So I made chocolate peanut butter truffles. They turned out amazing! Recipe here.

Now that I've gotten breakfast out of the way, down to our adventures. Nate and I have talked about going to Disney Quest together since we started dating. For those of you who may not be familiar, Disney Quest is an attraction in Downtown Disney (Orlando, FL) that boasts five floors of interactive gaming and virtual reality. For a couple of nerds like us, it an awesome time. So I picked up a few tickets and surprised my man.

There are so many cool things to do at Disney Quest. We started by building our very own custom roller coaster, which we then road on Cyber Space Mountain.

I always name my coasters the Jolly Banshee
I love the retro arcade game area. Nathan and I spent a lot of time playing the classics: Galaga, Galaxian, PacMan, Dig Dug, Donkey Kong, Frogger...

...and you can't forget Space Invaders.

We kicked butt at the Buzz Lightyear bumper cars, went back to the time of the dinosaurs on Jungle River Cruise, and took out a ghost ship for gold on Pirates of the Caribbean.

And, of course, there was Podracing...

We took a break around lunch time to get some food. Since we were in Downtown Disney, we had to stop by the LEGO store and drool at some of the amazing pieces we'd like to add to our collection.

Boba Fett's Slave I
The Batmobile Tumbler
After lunch and LEGOs we headed back to Disney Quest and nerded our for a few more hours. Then it was time to head home. I had a super awesome dinner planned (details here).

Then we built a blanket fort. Because, blanket fort. We're clearly super mature. You know you want to build one too!
Basically, we turned my entire living room into one giant fort. And we sat in there and gamed, watched Guardians of the Galaxy and enjoyed our dessert.

The day was absolutely perfect. The best Valentine'd Day I've ever had. ♥
